I have attended both the Tue/Thu Adult acting courses as well as the Wednesday Scene Study classes with Lisana. I am pleasantly surprised and delighted with the great program that Take One has to offer. The program is designed to dive right into the materials and Lisana does an excellent job of navigating the structure and pace of everyone’s individual learning experience. This is the first studio I attended as an adult in Miami. From day one the students and director were welcoming and warm. The Director is perceptive, honest, and genuinely knows her stuff. Her feedback is always useful and I learn something new each class. Her excitement and passion for the craft is enough to awaken the same thing in any student who truly cares about the work. I started taking classes at the end of August. At first, I felt unease. I had no experience with acting, but I decided to take classes because I was intrigued by actors I saw in movies and tv shows. I didn’t know how much these classes would change my life. I gain more confidence in my life than any other activities I’ve partaken in them.
