In a city where most restaurants have a lifespan of less than five years, it is heartening, if not surprising, to find such an old-timer. Politicians and business people have been coming here forever, buying each other martinis and waiting to be seated (no reservations are accepted). The seafood is fresh and fabulous and the decor is turn-of-the-last-century. The waitstaff is great, and it's not surprising--some of them have been here more than 30 years!

Fantastic Food - Great Management – Always so much fun, meeting new people from all over the world. Usually a wait, but half the fun giving you the opportunity to talk to people. The Manager Rick is warm, welcoming and always makes you feel like you're the most important person in the room. Great addition to the staff! Been going there for 30 years...now it's better than ever!

Tadich Grill – Wonderful food and service. An absolute must when in San Francisco
Best place for Seafood in San Francisco!! Best place for Seafood in San Francisco!! The fish is always fresh and the patrons are always fun and lively. Start out at the bar with Tadich's famous bloody mary and raw oysters. Everything on the menu is excellent and the staff is exceptional!!

A Classic – Althought this is one of the oldest SF restaurants, I suggest only order the crab salad or the petrale sole...but it is still worth a visit.
A San Francisco classic! The Tadich Grill won't be on any top ten dining lists in SF, but is hard to go wrong with this SF classic. The confident and charming wait staff will not disappoint whether you choose to have appetizers and drinks at the bar or sit down for a meal (try the pot pie!). This was my great uncle Lou's favorite restaurant over 50 years ago and it still shines. The Tadich Grill is truly a worthy dining experience.
Go to Tadish for a radish at the bar but leave for lunch or dinner – My family has been going there for 60 years or so . There was a 45 minute wait, expected and no where to wait, I had prime rib which could only be called poor roast beef in my book , it was tough and had the grizzle going through each of the 3 slices . My sister had curry crab and had so much curry it could have been calimari and you wouldn'y know the difference. Our second waiter was a punk right out of my Mission District days who seemed irritated we were... read more
