Put in a standard request for refill some 13 days ago online. I was given a time window during which gas delivery would occur extending from 2 days after I requested until today. Today, noticing the delivery still had not been made and noticing my tank near empty, I called Ms. Leia Bush at about 9AM. She reassured me "you're on the list" and "the delivery will be made today". i have had price issues with Amerigas in the past. We came to an agreement but it seems that it was only temporary. They recently sent me a bill for $5.829 a gallon. that is more than double what we have been paying. I check with all the other local gas companies and no one was near the price they are charging.

After realizing how high Amerigas Prices are we decided o switch to a different company. Called 11/06 spoke to Cindy H**. Cancelled service. Requested tank pickup and final bill. 12/11/17. No response. No final bill. No tank pickup. Called to see the "Status" . The person on the phone ells me there is absolutly nothing in the computer showing I even Called. if you are looking for reviews because you are shopping around for a company, just turn away and cross Amerigas off your list. if I could give zero stars I would. today makes 1 week, a full 7 days that my house has been without propane. first week of December with an 8 month old at home, heat and hot water are pretty important. first they give an extremely hard time and rude service on the phone to set up delivery and take payment, had to speak to a manager because the woman on the phone was rude and accusational. We have Cooper LP Gas Co Inc. in Sanford, NC and are apparently on the “automatic refill” list, which neither my husband nor I ever remember signing up for nor being asked if we wanted to be placed on this list. We received a bill yesterday for roughly $300.00 and were completely taken aback by this. We have not used our fireplace in two years and are super confused as to how our tank would need 65.2 gallons of propane. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE On November 21, 2017 I went to the office in Yreka CA, paid a past due balance and paid for another 100 gallon load. I was told by alisha at that time I would get my delivery on Monday Nov 27. At 1530 hours on 11/27, I called Alisha to see where the delivery was. She said she could not locate the driver and could not help me since he would return after she had left for the night. My father had his propane with a company that was bought out by Amerigas. My brother happened to notice a bill on his counter where he was being charged over $4/gallon for propane. I called Amerigas for my father and explained that I had just filled up for $1.25. They told me that was cheaper than they could buy it. Long story short they agreed to adjust his bill to $2 and something. Next bill came and he was overcharged again. Just had our tank refilled (219.1 g) at a cost of $3.21/gallon. Other local Lexington propane suppliers are charging $1.99/gallon. Called Amerigas and the most they would offer was dropping it to $2.99. That would make them a profit of $219 on our fill alone. This company basically extorts money from their customers. They need to be investigated. After reading all the other complaints/reviews, we are not alone.

I am on automatic delivery. I live in Hemlock Farms Community and was extended the Community Rate for delivery in the past as were the prior owners, which adds up to over 10 years as being a customer. On 11/19/2017 propane was delivered automatically. The next day I received a call from the Honesdale office in PA advising me that I recently had a delivery and if I had any questions to call.
