We purchased a car from Synergy Car Centre in February 2024 and was never told it had been previously owned by Europcar as a rental vehicle. This wasn’t disclosed in the advert, during the sale, or on the invoice — despite the fact that this kind of history should legally be made clear to buyers. Since purchase, we’ve only done around 11,000 miles, yet the car has already needed a clutch replacement, and now appears to have a gearbox issue developing.
