Bonscale is a 17th century farmhouse with sensational views across ullswater. The owners are now quite elderly and no longer able to keep the house in the condition a lot of people seem to expect these days ie mold & damp free and a fancy kitchen. If you value location , solitude and access to the fells over shiny things, it could be just the place for you.
