Easily my favorite sushi restaurant, I was visiting Seattle and happened to walk past the restaurant unknowingly finding out the chef Shiro is acquainted (I was told he was an apprentice) with the great Jiro. My friend who recently relocated to Seattle told me this was the place to try sushi. I lined up early around 3:30 (restaurant opens at 5, and if you like to be served at the sushi bar you should line up early), and it was very worth the wait and every penny Simply put, I never had sushi that was so good, that I smiled. ... read more

This place is really the only sushi place you should go to in Seattle. Yes, it's expensive but so worth it. Despite popular opinion, I much rather prefer eating at a table in the dining room. The staff is incredible and the sushi bar can be a tad intimidating.
