I disagree – You must be joking, I wish the Amerikans would get over their fascination for ethnic restaurants that are "americanized". The sushi is not very fresh, nor is it typically japanese. Should it not be obvious, that a good Japanese Restaurant would be one that people from Japan frequent-I have yet to see a Japanese person at Sushi Breeze.
Go Pack! – Sushi Blue has good foods & service..Cool place to hang loose!!!
Packed for a reason – The dining area is very small so go early or on a weeknight. Plan on a 2 hour wait during peak times. Very good food, excellent selection.
good if you like cream cheese! – Sushi blues is trendy and a good place to go for late-night food, but the sushi is boring. Most of it is either fried or comes with cream cheese.
Best in Raleigh! – Sushi Blues is my favorite! The sushi is great and reasonably priced, jazz and blues music really adds to the atmosphere, the service is always good, and they have a more extensive menu than other sushi places. This is a really great place to take a date or a group of friends and it's convenient to local night life. Two thumbs up!!!!!
Tradition with a Twist! – I adore SUSHI BLUES! I think that the food is great...it gives tradition a twist. Unlike other sushi bars, the atmosphere and staff are laid back and guaranteed to make your meal. It's definitely worth the wait for the Rat Pack roll or ginger salad!! I advise anyone who enjoys sushi to check it out soon!!!
Where are the Japanese customers? – While trying new places, I went with a Japanese friend (and I live in Japan most of the year). The food was nice, but took a while to pick because we were not familiar with the unique menu selections. While is the food is not very authentic, the taste was good. It was humorous to notice that no other Japanese people were there. None of the staff that we saw were Japanese either. To me, that spoils some of the atmosphere. Nevertheless, good food... just not really Japanese.
Not worth the hype! – The food is just ordinary...not worth the wait! Why wait for just so-so sushi when you could really get GREAT sushi elsewhere. I love the atmosphere...but thats where it stops. BUMMER!
Call first if you are going late! – We have mixed feelings about this place. First of all, we do love the sushi. There are many creative rolls to choose from. BUT... service can be VERY slow, seating is not abundant, and worst of all - the restaurant often decides to close early with no warning!! Supposedly open to midnight on weekdays (per the website), we have twice arrived around 11 PM to find them closing up and refusing to take anyone because it was "slow so we are closing early"! BAD customer service. Several other peo... read more
