I was blue when I finished eating! – This is NOT good sushi. Anyone who is a regular sushi diner would know that their fish is not fresh. Not only is their fish sub-par but so is the service. We went on a Friday night and could barely get service. Once we finally got our order, the fish was fishy! My roommate even got sick after we got home that night. Bad experience. Waraji is the best in Raleigh!
"Infused Sushi" – Sushi Blues is for those who order "Infused Martini's" in order for them to tell their friends that they drink martini's. Get real, the sushi here is a step above what you can get at Harris Teeter. And the service, we'll you're better off helping yourself at the Harris Teeter. Put enough mayonaise and fried batter on sushi rice, and anyone will eat it. They keep packing them in, maybe they should start serving "Infused martini's" here too.
Not Worth the Time – I'll give them credit for offering a large selection of rolls etc. The sushi itself leaves a lot to be desired. They give you twice what other restaraunts do, but they slice the fish so thin all you taste is rice. There are so many better places to get sushi in the triangle.
Really bad service on a slow day – I went to Sushi Blues for lunch. The service was terrible. The waitresses just stood around and it takes forever to get a refill. If you're hungry, go somewhere else because you won't get time to eat. The food was very nicely decorated and overall tasted good. But the poor service is what I remember.
super sushi – creative sushi place, trendy atmosphere, probably the best sushi in the city though a bit more expensive
I love Sushi Blues' food, everything I have tried has been excellent. I like to get take out these days, it makes eating the food so much more relaxing than waiting and waiting to be packed in to the restaurant.
Good but not Great – The decor is original and quirky, as are the waitress uniforms. However, the tempura had an odd, untraditional batter that I found quite greasy, and the underlying vegetable was not cooked thouroughly. The sushi rolls were inventive in theory and description, but the taste did not live up to my expectations. All in all not that special.
Best sushi place in town – The best sushi place in town. Great atmosphere and so much choices from the menu.
Good Atmosphere Good Food – I enjoy Sushi Blues much for the atmosphere as well as the food. Don't change a thing.
