Sushi blues gave me the blues – While we were seated at a rather quick pace. The service was horrible we could not hear our waiter due to the LATIN MUsic in the background of a Japanese restaurant. Also service was slow, drink orders were not filled prompltly or at all, sushi orders were not correct, over all theme and ambiance were not what we expected. Extremely dissapointed after hearing such positive responses about the restaurant.
Love this place! – I love Sushi Blues! The waitresses are friendly and not all over you while you are trying to eat. They have a huge menu with something that everyone in your group can enjoy. Everything from sushi to stir fry. With a huge parking lot in back, they validate, and we can go out on Glenwood all night! We will be back!
Great Sushi – Very nice and trendy. The sushi was great and displayed in a very creative and distinctive way. The crunchy roll and spider roll were fantastic! I also enjoyed the blues band that played in the bar area. This restuarant has definitely become one of my favorites!
let's put it this way...my credit card is maxed out at sushi blues! I can't get enough of this place...the sushi is so fresh you would think u were by the ocean and the fish jumped on your plate...i love it..
Terrible! – I've been to this place on several occassions. The service there is awful. The waitresses are the worst and it takes forever to get your food. Save yourself the headache and go to Shaba or Waraji.
It makes me SICK ! – I have been eating at this restaurant for a while, and the food is decent overall. However, it has gotten worst. I went there to eat with my boyfriend one night. We ordered a few rolls and some sashimi. The raw fish was not fresh at all, the sushi rice was too mushy, they put eel sauce on everything, too much. The shrimp tempura was the worst, because the shrimp was hard as rock. I felt like I was eating rubber. Although the waitress was nice, I will never go back there ever again! Yuck!
Again, don't go for food.. – Sushi rice is terrible, and service is bad. Only positive side to this restaurant is their late hours for those desperate need for raw fish. Our table was dirty although the owner(surely acted like it) was just sitting around talking to other customers. Hard to believe that some people actually think they have good sushi, but I guess ignorance is bliss. Go to this place if you are desperate late at night for sushi..
Terrible Service – When I visited this restaurant I found the food to be about average. The waiter was extremely rude. The management did not seem to care, and added a tip to my Visa bill for the waiter when I only tipped the sushi chef. I was not impressed and will not go back when there are so many other options in Raleigh where the sushi is great and the service top notch.
Used to be good now the service seems poor. I used to eat here regularly, once a month at least. The Yummy roll is EXCELLENT! But lately service has been slow. Last week I went in, was seated promptly and had to wait 20 minutes to get them just to bring water much less to take my order. They weren't busy and 2 waitresses and the greeter were all standing up front chatting and couldn't be bothered. We finally just got up and left.
