Best In Utah – We love the sushi at the Happy Sumo. My friends and I will drive for miles, and when we get to the city, we only go to the Happy Sumo. Other sushi places don't have food that tastes as fresh and they certainly don't have the atmosphere. Try the Caterpillar Roll (yum yum) or the Death Roll. The colorful menu describes them all. It's worth the drive every single time.

Favorite Sushi Place – While shopping, we stopped in to try the Happy Sumo for lunch and couldn't believe how delicious everything was. The place was packed and the service was still tip top! The restaurant is conveniently located in the Gateway by our favorite stores. We had soups, salads, beer, and sushi rolls. The sushi is amazing here. We'll be back for dinner!

Unhappy Skinny Guy. Happy Sumo? – Tres chic atmosphere. If I hadn't known it was supposed to be a sushi bar, I'd have thought it was an east coast photography studio. For being a Japanese food based restraunt, the establishment was almost completely void of the ethnicity. All of the waitresses were blond haired, blue eyed, and wearing practically the same black outfit that you might find at the GAP. The host was straight out of GQ magazine. After we'd finally been seated I got a chance to browse over the menu. My date finall... read more

the best sushi in town – Ok the name is silly, but the food is really good. It is better than ichiban, and there is less of a wait. The sushi also seems fresher.

Yummy – I've been 5 times now & everytime I enjoy the food but wish I had better service. I think the location is great. Seating is quick. I like sitting in the booths but hate table seating. Cost is a little high for other sushi restaurants with better service but overall I like Happy Sumo.

Dude, where's the fish? – Park City Location: The first 2 times I went here with friends we had a blast and the service and sushi were wonderful. The last few times (and the very last time) the service was incredibly bad. The sushi was good, but the service ruined our mood to eat. Good thing we were so tired from skiing that we didn't feel like moving! We sipped our drinks slowly though-to make sure we had something to do besides laugh at how slow and "cool" the wait staff was (the last couple of times, we had to laugh at ou... read more

awful, terrible, yuck! – this is one of the worst dining experiances i had. the food was so so, the portions were tiny, the prices outragous, and the service abandoned us, never giving us a bill and pointedly ignoring us! never again will i go.

It was...ok – As a Japanese food lover, the food was nothing to rave about. The location is great, however, after a day of shopping at the Gateway.
