Vegas Roll is to die for! – The Happy Sumo has a delicious assortment of Sushi. And if you aren't a fan of Sushi, you can find a variety of other delightful things to eat. Loved the Edimame, the Vegi Spring Rolls, the Miso Soup and the Sea Weed Salad. Try the KJQ roll (you have to ask for it, it's not on the menu), the Aspargus roll is quite tasty. Not so much – Fish Good! Service Okay, attitude of employees other than our waitress was condescending. Very pretentious atmosphere. May have been a bad night. Overpriced, but with the overhead at the Gateway, someone has to pay the rent. Again, Fish Good!
spicy!!! – I was told to check out two sushi bars in salt lake Ichibons and Happy Sumo and they are both excellent. However, I have to say the Chefs at the Sumo have it goin on Eddie and Jeff create beautiful presentations and the fish is superbly fresh. I can not begin to say enough about this restaraunt.
What a great surprise! – I had always been an Ichiban loyal customer but I found this to be a great surprise. I have yet to taste a poor roll or nigiri. Well worth an initial trial to determine for yourself.
excellent! – Stopped in for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I am a loyal customer to Ichiban, however, The Happy Sumo definitely gives Ichiban a run for their money. The atmosphere is great and the sushi was delicious. A great place for a date.
