I called Summit to request service on a commercial refrigerator purchased that kept going into alarm mode. Hilda was our service advisor and was terrific from the start to finish with exceptional customer service and follow up. After providing her with our purchase agreement she put everything in motion from having a new part sent directly to us and she coordinated service the same day the part arrived and we were back on line within a couple hours. Hilda was great. She diagnosed our problem over the phone and sent the part which had been out of stock when it came back into stock without having me to remind her. The part worked great and we are back in business.
Needed a fridge for a club room repaired and everything went great. The crew did a great job and were extremely professional. Highly recommend summit appliances and service team.
We have a summit 28 inch bottom freezer unit and its the worst. Early on it was leaking water under the produce bin and now there is ice inside the bak of the refrigerator. I called our appliance guy and he spoke to summit who told him to try a few things, he did all that including turning it off for three days ( major inconvenience ...turned it back on and its still doing the same thing. Our local appliance repair shop would not even work on my Summit refrigerator, saying that they never the parts he has needed in the past. Also a "design defect" caused the light to always stay "on" inside my refrigerator because the interior switch never touches the door because of how it was installed/manufactured. Summit Appliance offered no reasonable indemnification to resolve our issues.
As a professional courtesy I reached out to the CEO of Summit Appliances to try resolve and issue with a ice maker i purchased from their company for a kitchen renovation we completed this summer, directly and amicably. The ice maker had a faulty water seal (o-ring) and sequentially leaked water behind newly installed cabinets and onto and into hardwood floors. We bought a Summit 36" stove from a third party (who were awesome). The stove arrived damaged because it is so flimsy. The metal bent and contorted the back of the stove. The workmanship of this stove was horrid. See the photo's below. The frame in between the glass of the oven door was bent and rusted and the enamel was not even applied properly in spots.
