Here is the communication I had with Motel 6 regarding my issue. Sorry for the long read, but it speaks for itself. Again, you totally ignored my email, even taking out the FIRE/POLICE/EMS, which your owner said you were in support of. He actually chose to charge me more, vs. giving the discount he said he gave. When I arrived there were man outside doing drugs. The place was dirty and smelled of roach spray. There was cigarette smoke permeating from the walls. There were people moving in to live, I know this because of the volume of things they bought. They were selling illegal substance out in the open. When I bought this up to staff they seemed apathetic. I was truly terrified for my over all safety. Please close this roach infested bed bug palace.

AWFUL. the online booking got messed up somehow, which I understand technology can fail. It booked me for the wrong day so I was charged for a no call no show, which again I understand. I called guest relations and everyone I spoke to was kind. The problem I have is with the location front desk man and the manager. Guest relations explained all they could do was call the manager. When we got to the room it smelled like smoke. There was an ashtray in the room with a no smoking sticker on it. First, the bathtub had pubs all over in it. I call down stairs and am told the cleaning staff has already left and there isn't another room to put me in. (cleaned it myself) No stopper for tub, I go down to the front desk and ask for a stopper for the tub and am told they don't have one and to stick a towel in the drain. I would give -0 if I could. I was treated terrible by their night auditor at this location. I had to cancel my reservation because of the hurricane. Due to a natural disaster no fault of my own. I personally am safe but the towns around me are flooded and as a result, fights got delayed and canceled. I have already filed a BBB complaint, however, I will document everywhere I can find to make sure people know how DISGUSTING the service was. I usually book through booking.com, but because they had a three day special for $99.99 I paid at the location. I didn't end up staying the full three days. I checked in Tuesday (Aug 8, 2017) afternoon and checked out Wednesday Evening at around 11pm (Aug 9, 2017). I called that Wed morning to ask if it was possible to get a refund for days that I didn't use and they said it was possible and how much I would get back. I would like to complain about a very unethical experience at Motel 6 in Escondido California. I have stayed at this location several times over the past year and have spent thousands of dollars and written stellar reviews, despite the rampant crime at this location.
