As a HUGE motel 6 chain, you should be ashamed of yourselves..... I'm so embarrassed for you!!!! 3 of us from my company chose to stay here while working in the area, of the 3 one made it about 4 days before deciding to leave, for a hotel with a few more amenities and less distractions. I made it 5 nights, and checked out after the 6th. The last coworker made it 8 nights before being kicked out. During my stay I was not able to rest during the day, as I was working night shift in Longview. Motel 6 in Sweetwater TN is privately owed and not a part of the larger Motel 6 chain. I was there for a class reunion. We had been given a block of rooms and attendees were given a discount rate of 49.95. As we arrived the price just went up and up. Reservations for the block of rooms were denied. The big thing is the condition of the hotel. Exposed wiring with a water leak. Leaking roof in pool area. Bed bugs were in the pillow cases on my bed. I requested to move and was told no. Motel 6 Charlotee-Carowinds - Fort Mill, SC. We chose an inexpensive hotel because we knew we would be at an event all day long throughout our stay, but the saying "you get what you pay for" is inaccurate - we got less. I made a reservation through Hotels.com for one night at the Motel 6 #4565 for Friday, May 4 for my in-laws to attend my daughter's college graduation. I chose the "pay at hotel" option because I thought my in-laws might want to put it on their credit card, which they did. I felt lucky to get the last room available in all of Bloomington for that night. That is where my luck ran out. Stayed 3 nights and was charged for 7. DO NOT STAY HERE they will rip you off take stuff out of your room and give you the run around when you try to get your money back

Key cards were not working, so staff has to let you in building and your room each time you leave. Which is a hassle. Told its been like that for a week. Not to mention stains on the bedspreads, no microwave in room. Lack of customer service when asked if there was one to heat something up.

So technically never got to stay here. But don't try to stay here. Because you will travel all day long and get to the place and they will tell you the room you reserved is not available and they have no rooms for you. Then they say you are the fourth person I had to tell. This was 11 pm at night. Didn't bother call us to let us know. Final four weekend so hotel rooms were scarce. I would not recommend to anyone. Looked at room prior to check-in but my only concern was it had a bed and bathroom. Once officially in the room, oh my. Cockroaches welcomed me, including a dead one in the mini-fridge. I asked for bug spray but never got.The bathroom door didn't close all the way. A used condom and wrapper was in a cabinet under the kitchen sink. The cover for the air/heat unit was almost off. There where some other things but these are key.
