I was very impressed with Dr. Akerman and his office. He gave me lots of time to discuss my issues, was able to get me scheduled for a visit and follow up testing very quickly and followed up with me personally by phone to make sure I understood the diagnosis. Excellent doctor, very knowledgeable and great patient care. His staff was also fantastic and very polite.
Very professional, his discussion with me prior to my procedure was helpful. His staff made me feel comfortable. Dr. Akerman discussed the findings in a way that was clear and understandable.
My appointment with Dr. Akerman was a very positive one. He is very attentive and takes his time making sure I receive the best care as well as making sure I would have an interpreter present during my procedures. His office staff is also friendly and they take the time to make sure I felt comfortable as well. I would highly recommend anyone to visit Dr. Akerman's office.
Dr. Ackerman’s bedside manner is very refreshing! He explains everything he is going to do and introduces his assisting staff. I feel he is very thorough and very personable as well!
Very competent. Took time to explain my condition. Excellent written reports with photos on results of procedures given upon recovery. Responded to after hours phone about prep procedure promptly.
I can't say enough about Dr. Akerman, he is an amazing physician! Very honest, very knowledgeable MD. I highly recommend him to others who are looking for a doctor who specializes in Gastroenterology!

FABULOUS gastroenterologist!!! Was sensitive to my concerns, explained in detail all procedures and tests. Demonstrates warmth, skill and compassion. So sorry he left New York.
