Unless you are profusely bleeding or having a heart attack - choose another Rochester hospital. Regardless of your pain level for any other issue be prepared to wait for HOURS to even be placed in a room other than the Waiting Room. Also you’ll spend additional hours waiting for any results or seeing a doctor once you’re in.
Never go to emergency at Strong. Spent 7 hours waiting to be seen for severe stomach flu. Puking in a bucket waiting to get IV fluids. I was so dehydrated by the time I got an IV that my veins were collapsed. Another 48 hours in emergency and finally sent to a remote room in the cancer center and was told that ED staff would care for me. I was forgotten by ED staff. Improve the wait time and order of how things run my dad was in there on Feb 21st went in via ambalance. And was shipped to the waiting room. We waited for 5 hours before he got pissed and walked out. The next day he was transferred to ECMC. From Batavia, long story short he was in emergency surgery within 2 hours of ariving. He ended up having a rare flesh eat bacteria, he ended up losing his leg
