My mother was admitted on October 18, 2020 for bleeding! My sisters and I also asked them to check her foot/heel on her left leg! She had recently had surgery from a fall on the same leg with the foot pain! The surgery was also done at this hospital approximately a week before this hospitalization! After complaining of no one looking at her foot, a nurse finally looked at it and bandaged it on October 20th. It was not looked at or checked throughout the remaining of her stay. My grandmother was taken by ambulance to the hospital and they ran some tests and said there was nothing wrong with her other than a little blood in her urine and white blood cells being low. They told her they saw no reason to keep her, not even 2 days later she came to opelika where I live and was admitted to eamc and they found out she was dehydrated, had a uti, iron was low etc... if they hadn’t gotten her help here, she would in no doubt be dead. I don’t recommend this hospital! My doc sent me there to get chest X-rays. I get there and was treated like crap. I get checked in and was told to sit outside. No too much later...the nurse comes to speak to me. This is what was said “Mrs. Willis, you have been tested for covid. Your doctor never should have sent you here. We don’t want you here so go home.” This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. That’s saying a lot since the only good thing that happened to me there was delivering my oldest son.
