I have been coming here for over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised to find out they have started a mobile tyre service. I needed two tyres and the tyre team at Streat Motors was fast and very reasonable prices. A reliable tyre service as well now from them.
The people there are really nice and I can't fault that. But I've taken my car to another garage and they fixed my problem which was the battery and cleared codes. Streat motors told me I'd need to pay £1200 for new plugs and apparently the battery was not the issue. Again they are nice there but they got it wrong. I could've been ripped off
A taxi driver drove into the back of me on Daneshill a little while back. Cracks and scraps everywhere. Anyways, everyone told me to go to Streat Motors. I nipped round, got a quote for a bumper (second hand + paint + clips + labour) for £700+. Dropped it in this Tuesday and got it back looking like new this Thursday morning. And it cost me £678. As a long time customer of this garage, I took my car in for a full service and diagnostic check and they charged me £591!!!!! No call to ask for my authorisation to do any work. When I questioned the very high cost, their tone turned hostile quickly, shouting me down making it impossible to speak to them. I felt intimidated and paid the huge bill feeling I had no choice.
