I spoke with three different Aetna representatives over the course of three months regarding a claim. The first two representatives said there was no patient responsibility for a claim. After still receiving a bill, I spoke with a third representative who informed me that my copay had changed. I was never told of the change AND the first two representatives never told me either. This complaint is on Aetna Speciality Pharmacy. This is by far the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I have been forced to use them because of a couple of my prescriptions have to go through them according to Aetna. The refuse to sync my prescriptions so I can order once a month and get all my refills at the same time. The continually claim they never get prescriptions when they are sent and my doctors have to send them multiple times. they just can't get it right i was over charged and charged for meds that were not shipped w they make my life so very complicated and broke when i got a bit miffed because they can't get it right i told them i might be time to find another pharm they said that's my right and act like they don't care if i did or not they are unreliable and uncaring and will kill some one i will be looking for another pharm
Aetna Disability personnel work out of their homes and do not read the information you send them. They recently admitted to not reading the information from physicians and automatically denied health claims. Employers that use Aetna as a STD and LTD services need to be advised that Aetna sends out nebulous and repetitive forms for you to have filled out. I submitted a complaint to Aetna in October 2017 for faulty orthodontia work. I figured my complaint was pretty simple to prove since xrays and pictures were provided. In short, perfectly straight teeth with a center gap was provided orthodontia for over 2 years to close the gap. The experience I had with Aetna was horrible, to say the least. I have a chronic (and degenerative) pain issue with my spine, and, a chronic anxiety issue. The conditions don't 'mix' well. Aetna, refused procedure after procedure without inserting their *own* doctors reviews, and the same with the meds I was prescribed. I PLEADED with them to stop hurting me. Super disenchanted by Aetna. And the unfortunate part about insurance is you're stuck-so even writing a review I think is purely just to make me feel a little better. Spent over 5 hours total over the last 2 months trying to fix the same problem. I was transferred countless times, each with the person saying I was transferred to the wrong department. My husband and I are covered by 2- two healthcare insurance companies. I am an Active employee for both. Aetna was obtained first- 3 years before **** therefore Aetna is primary. However neither insurance wants to pay, saying the other is primary, even though they have documentation ( besides numerous calls) showing Aetna was obtained first. aetna is by far the worst company i have ever came in contact with besides state medical but that is free. Ann in appeals is horrible rude and uncompassionate. They blame everything on you and send you for form after form with 20$ fee every time . This is my first time off in 11 years and the most stressed out I have ever been in life.
