We LOVED this trip. We stayed at the redcaboose, which could use some updating but it's local to the railroad. Thomas and Percy event was lovely. My son had a great time and everyone who worked there was not only polite but actually seemed to love being there. Workers were very helpful in getting us on and off trains and super friendly. Would highly recommend and return!

I had a wonderful time with my family today at the "Day Out With Thomas" event, and everyone affiliated with Strasburg Railroad and the event were more than polite, helpful, friendly and accommodating to families with small children. They really made the day truly magical for my autistic son, who loves trains and Thomas and really enjoyed his first "Day Out" experience. All in all, the event was well produced and organized. You could definitely tell that the employees and event staff really went the extra mile to make sure t... read more

Last year my family and I participated in the Day Out With Thomas. We bought our tickets 4 adult tickets, 2 children and 1 under 2, we bought them months in advance. The parking situation was I insane. We had to park in a field, and walk what seems like a mile to the trains. We had tickets for Thomas and Percy. The time to ride was stated on tickets. The lines were too long. Everyone is packed into lines and it is hot, and crowded. As people were exiting the train, they were letting people enter. It was complete chaos. The l... read more

Always a fun time. Both my nephew and myself love to watch and ride the train pulled by steam locomotives.

We had so much fun on the Hobo Lunch ride this past Saturday. The staff was very knowledgeable . My husband was using a wheelchair and the staff (including a conductor who was wearing a red hat on Saturday afternoon but I didn't catch his name) was super accommodating. Right away they called for the wheelchair lift. Tom helped my husband into the train with the lift. He even told me to go ahead and get my seat on the train and he would take care of my husband. We really appreciated all the help and really enjoyed our train r... read more

Got stuck in traffic. There was no way we could make it. I called and tried to donate my two seats to someone who could have used them and they refused to do that. Someone could have made an attempt to do something good and they would not even try.
