My son is obsessed with everything Thomas and he has such a great time! I'd definitely do the 2 hour drive there again! So worth it ❤️
Visited Strasburg for the first time today - excellent experience all around! I was there with my wife and two daughters - we rode the 11am train in the open car, which was a blast! Beautiful scenery and a great ride, with a bonus of meeting a freight when the locomotive ran around the train for the trip back. I can't say enough about how great our day was today! Everyone that works at both the railroad and museum were phenomenal, very helpful, professional and extremely polite! We drove a total of four hours to spend the afternoon there and it was worth it to watch my daughter's wish to ride a "big train" come true! She had a great time on the train, having a picnic, in the playground and on all of the other extra attractions. Both she and my husband loved the museum across the street as well! An excellent excellent excellent time was had at The Strasburg Railroad! I am so glad I made the 110 mile trip. And the icing on the cake was a short walk across the road to the Pennsylvania Train Museum!
I recently attended the Rolling Antique Auto event held annually at Strasburg Railroad each July, and I must say I was thoroughly overjoyed by both the railroad and museum as well. On this particular July, 16 2016 they operated steamers #475 ( an ex- Norfolk & Western 4-8-0 ) and #90 ( a 2-10-0 of ex Great Western lineage and used to haul sugar beat crops ). everything was great, untill we went to eat at the cafe.. didnt catch their names, but whoever was working today around 4pm was very rude!!!! they didnt say hello, or even show any motivation for their jobs. took almost 15min for 2 smoothies!

We have been here before with our little train obsessed son, and loved Day out with Thomas! I really loved and appreciated the beautiful train car to feed babies in, I brought along our 8 week old twins. I was able to take care of their needs while daddy ran around and did all of the activities with our toddler. Everything was so organized and clean, everyone was helpful. Can't wait to come back again on a regular day to just enjoy the trains to!!
