My grandchildren ages 6 and 10 have been there 6 times and they still enjoy it every time
As always, we had an amazing experience! Such an awesome place!
1st time with my family..enjoyed it so much. will be going back again
The railroad itself is very nice, clean, and the people are very friendly. My only problem is their portrayal of the Amish as a "peaceful people" is nothing but a lie to suck in tourists. If the same tourists would venture up to the New Holland auction they would see the truth about the Amish. Remember, Lancaster County is the puppy mill capital of the world. I try to spend as little money as possible in PA.
My wife, I and our kids always make it a point to visit this whenever we are in Lancastor. The train is great , the sights calming and relaxing , the whole experience nostalgic. I highly recommend it to anybody.
Found a locomotive and tender that ran on the nickel plate line through my hometown when I was a child. The lady at the museum who is taking your ticket for the admission was very knowledgeable about everything they had there. Gift shop had me from the moment I stepped in. Well worth visiting bu... read more
We go several times a year for past 22 years, also on major family occasions for the comfort a train ride brings us. We have picnicked at Cherry Grove, done a week's vacation in Lancaster and stayed in Caboose motel, spent New Year's Eve on the train, had Easter with the bunny, enjoyed the Halloween and Santa trains, rode on train with snow on ground and warm coal stoves on the train, rode on open cars in heat of summer. It is great!
Fabulous time with my husband & twin toddlers. We really enjoyed our trip!
We love it there! Usually come in the fall, would love to check it out during the winter holidays!
