Enthusiastic staff, incredible insect collection, a great find in the city!
My son and I have enjoyed visiting the Insectarium once a year or so for many years. But we were amazed when we visited on Saturday, November 19, 2016, and saw all the recent changes. We learned of even more changes that will be happening very soon, too. I recorded scenes to give everyone an idea of what to expect when you visit. You can see the scenes I recorded by using keywords "insectarium zoovisitormm2" in a Google search. I will also be posting a link to my video on my Facebook page. A hidden wonderland of insects here in Philadelphia! A good cure for insectophobia. We had a wonderful time. "Amber" our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor too! The museum may be small but all the space is used and beautifully painted and decorated.Don't forget to say hi to "Rosy" the tarantula and give her a little gentle pat.
This place is awesome!!! Great display of insects, spiders and reptiles! Owners were knowledgable and passionate! We can't wait to come back and visit!
We had an amazing time here!! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable!!!! It's definitely a treasure tucked away in the northeast!
Loved this place! Brought my 4 year old bug lover and he had a blast! He got to hold a bunch of bugs, lizards and gekos. There are hundreds of mounted insects and plenty of live ones. There are also lizards, gekos, frogs and turtles. Our guide Dimitri was wonderful and knowledgeable. It took us a little over an hour to check it all out.
Joe was a great tour guide. Much thanks!
Great hands on fun. Our boys loved it.
Yeah, I'm weird, because I like bugs. Love your museum! It was well worth the stop while we were in Philly. All it lacked was one of my favorites, the mud dauber, the gentlest and least aggressive of wasps, at least to people.
