Wonderful doctor. Listens and is very reasonable. I highly recommend him. I wouldn't see anyone else.
Waited 6 months to get an appointment with this quack. He clearly pretends to be a doctor and doesn't care for his patient's well being. On my first visit, he prescribed new medication and I ended up experiencing side effects within 3 days. I tried calling the office and left a message with the office manager, sent the doctor emails and messages via patient portal...but no response. I highly recommend you not waste time with this guy.
Dr Israel is a very good doctor. He has always come through for me with any paperwork that I needed, and has been very tolerant of my quirks. Paperwork may take him a little bit of time to get done longer that I hoped, but he has always come through, I just had to be patient about it. There is a real shortage of psychiatrists in the area, and Dr. Israel is one of the very few really good ones. I don't know how you would feel about this: sitting there during YOUR Appointment, explaining your problems while this doctor is only half listening to you because he is checking his texts and texting. I didn't know if I had to stop talking or just continue! So I stopped. He invited me to continue and asked the same questions of course and as soon as I was about to repeat everything he told me he had to make an important call! I tried to give it a chance and went back a couple of times. no more.
I honestly believe (after more than a dozen visits) that Dr. Israel's behavior towards his patients borders on the unethical. He needs to be reminded to fill out prescriptions several times before it gets done and on more than 1 occasion, our child ran out of medication--a very precarious, unhealthy position! During sessions, he is invariably on his cell phone sending and reading messages. Totally inappropriate, disrespectful and unacceptable!
Great doctor! I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a need in a good professional help. Experienced and attentive.
He's a great listener, is easy-going, & offers positive feedback. He also has addressed my concerns & then modified my meds successfully when I needed a change. The only issue is that when I've needed prescription refill orders sent in to my pharmacy, it has frequently been hard to track him down.
