I visited Steve Car Rental today May 28, 2025 in Southend on sea. I had my 12 years old daughter with me. The guy there said car will be ready in 30 mins and after 30 mins he said he has not even started it. He was extremely rude and refused to get the car ready. Most shockingly he was rude to my daughter who is just 12 year old. I am shocked at the attitude of this person and would request the management to discipline him. He was threatening and abusive. I have been using steves van hire for years,whether it be a family car for Cornwall trips or a van for removals they have always been brilliant. The staff are very professional explaining everything you need to know and the cars/vans are always spotlessly clean and lovely vehicles. I wouldn't use anyone else in the southend area. Brilliant firm all round.

Always very helpful and the vehicles are top notch. Needed a little runaround at very short notice as my car was in the garage and Steve's had my back. Night key drop-off was very handy. Highly recommend.

Steve's was one of the few easy parts of an otherwise tough day. I'd originally tried to book from Enterprise entirely because they were much closer, but they turned out to be problematic, so I went to Steve's. Friendly, helpful service, good van, no hassle, easy return.
