Some reviews rather uncomplimentary sadly given increasing patient demand PARTICULARLY in Stepps with substantial new build going on. Funding reduction from Central Government for Holyrood does not help nonetheless this surgery excels compared to similar primary care GP practices within NHSGGC. Stepps Surgery has excellent range of healthcare services having some genuinely caring General Practitioners, nurses and receptionists. Extraordinary individuals doing their best for patients in our catchment area.
Albeit some reviews are rather uncomplimentary. Increasing patient demand PARTICULARLY in Stepps with substantial new build with diminishing shortfall funding from Central Government to Holyrood this surgery is very good. In comparison with many similar primary care providers Stepps Surgery has excellent range of healthcare services having some genuinely caring General Practitioners and receptionists are extraordinary individuals doing their best for patients in the catchment area.
Always find the reception staff friendly, helpful and professional and on the few occasions I have needed an appointment the GP I’ve seen has also been professional, efficient and helpful.
102 calls between 08:30 and 08.52 on Monday morning just to be told that all day appointments have already gone and the earliest I can be seen is Friday afternoon. Go through the whole experience tomorrow morning again if I want to try to get seen earlier. Receptionist: "I know with pain it would seem to be an emergency for you but the doctor wouldn’t see it as an emergency.” No call queuing system and an absolute lottery whether you'll get seen even if they do answer the phone.
The GPs are good not had an issue as yet though the reception staff are incredibly rude and condescending, disdainful & patronising. Wish they'd make the reception automated as I'd be more comfortable talking to an AI bot than the reception staff.
