I had upper eyelid surgery on both eyes. The entire experience was excellent. We were even able to reschedule when my family physician didn't provide information needed in time for me to stop taking anti-coagulant prior to surgery. Dr. Klapper, office staff and surgery staff were all very helpful and caring.
I went to multiple doctors before I found one who could both diagnose and fix my problem (blocked tear duct). When I found Dr. Klapper, it was clear that I had found a doctor who was thoroughly competent to handle this condition. I drove 2 1/2 hours to see him, and would have driven further to see him, if it had been necessary. His nurse Nancy was extremely helpful and complemented the doctor well in walking me through the surgery and healing process.
In an effort to leave more information about my previous review for Dr. Klapper who took little time to deal with my persisting eyelid irritation and charging my credit card twice for my visit, I since have returned to my dermatologist who himself took a biopsy and has determined that I have a pre-cancerous lesion that will soon be removed by surgery. Another surgeon performed a MOHS, leaving me with a hole the size of a quarter, 1/8 inch deep on my lower eye lid. He said he could not close, sent me to Dr Klapper. Dr Klapper saw me for the first time at 12:30 and operated at 4:00. After 9 days, I went back today. The healing is miraculous! Fear of the scaring I was going to be left with on my face literally consumed all of my days prior to the surgery. The extent of the surgery necessary to replace the cancer tissue removed was my greatest concern. To my amazement, my anxiety was a total loss of time and energy. My experience with Dr. Klapper has been extremely tedious, physically stressful and costly. The unprofessionalism, lack of concern and compassion regarding my problems after surgery (e.g. dry and flaking eyes) caused by my eyes not closing has caused extreme anxiety. I live alone and since I’m unable to drive have become dependent on friends/family taking me to the grocery store, bank and doctor/personal appoints. Dr Klapper is very kind and takes interest in your condition. With me it was a difficult surgery, due to other health issues, and he handled all very professional! I highly recommend Dr Klapper. He did an excellent job! Has healed so nicely. Couldn’t ask for a better job than Dr Klapper’s work. Another note: his staff are very professional and so helpful and understanding!
I recommend Dr. Klapper without any reservation. Unlike other cosmetic surgeons, I experienced no hard sell. Dr. Klapper was forthright in explaining expectations and his recommendations. I had an eyelid lift that went smoothly and my results are exactly as I had hoped. He is a skilled surgeon with a well-earned excellent reputation.
Very pleased with the results of my procedure, surgery went well without complications. Dr. Klapper answered all of my questions and was very helpful. Office staff very helpful, sometimes can be a bit of a wait in the office
