RecommendedWas treated to a tour as a birthday gift. What a great way to spend an evening with a good friend. Carol (one of the owners) conducted the tour and was informative, funny and very knowledgeable. The historic home is beautiful and the restoration work simply amazing. Topped it off with a nightcap at the well appointed bar. Such a gem right in Painesville.
What an incredibly beautiful place!! The story behind this amazing piece of history is equally incredible. Talk about a work of love. It truly shows in how much the owners have put into this gem of the past and how passionate they are about it. I highly reccommend it to everyone.
Our family and friends gathered at the mansion for the weekend of my son's wedding. We started the weekend with a party at the Steele Mamsion on Friday evening. The food was amazing and the staff was so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating and the service was wonderful! On Saturday and Sunday, they served our guests delicious breakfasts. We had our wedding here 1/6 and it was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was incredibly friendly and asked us all through the night if we were having a good time and if there was anything we needed. If there was anything we requested they did it immediately. The food was great and the mansion itself is drop dead gorgeous. We had people who lived 10 minutes away stay overnight because the rooms are so beautiful. My wedding count was 60 but the gathering room holds more than that. A definite must see.
I loved it, breakfast was amazing, decor was beautiful so much to look at.

A friend and I went to Steele Mansion Dec. 23, 2016, for Happy Hour. We were pleasantly delighted by the Christmas lights adorning the outside of the mansion and the elegantly decorated Christmas trees inside. We were greeted by the owner, Carol, who said that we could have our appetizers and drinks anywhere in the mansion. She also told us to imagine we were in our own homes.
