Attended a FGL concert-had an amazing time and the new inside is beautiful!
They need to re-evaluate the set up of lines for alcohol sales. I couldn't get back into the hall after using the restroom because the line for alcohol sales was blocking the doors.
The venue its self is great, the parking is a discombobulated mess! I wasn't happy with $9 parking and some of the parking attendants were not the most friendly of folk. They acted as though they were put out when asked questions.
I was ejected from State Farm Center, by U of I campus police, at the behest of State Farm Center ushers FOR NO GOOD REASON. I was in my seat, enjoying the event, and having a great time. Because I wear a mask, for reasons I can't go into here, I was kicked out. My constitutional rights were violated. My human rights were violated. My rights as a fan were violated. Additional handrails are needed in the upper levels, so folks can get a grip while getting to their seats. Take an example from the Peoria Civic Center. Other than that, it's a nice arena. dh :)
No leg room in section 100's then security is limited need to report threatening people behind us who thought we had no right to move in or out of our seats. Like we didn't pay for them. My son gets pushed by a women who thinks she owns the center and her husband felt the need to threaten bodily harm if we tried to move when they returned to their seats. Very nice, comfortable seating. Concessions were tasty but pricey for the high school age kids attending the State Wrestling Tournament.
I ordered tickets for wrestling on Monday so they were at Will Call. I paid a $10.00 fee for the tickets Will Call. We got there 30 minutes prior to the start of wrestling. We were informed by staff that we had to wait in the line that included people buying tickets that day. The was over 100 feet outside the doors. We waited 20 minutes outside, then when we got inside we waited another 10 minutes until they pulled the Will Call people out of line. That is when I got to get my tickets in 2 minutes. If the university could put a better product on the court it would be 5 stars. Bathrooms were clean, plenty of concession options. Traffic around arena was bearable and parking imo high but expected.
