I've had Stanley Steemer clean my carpets for the past 3 years. I am MOST SATISFIED. I have a Karistan wool carpet in my home inherited by my parents. Some companies won't clean wool carpeting, but SS always does an excellent job. Because of the high quality of the material, this carpet still looks new. After a cleaning by SS it still looks great. The two guys came to clean my sofas, ottoman and 8' x 8' rug before Thanksgiving. The next day, I vaccummed (I own Rainbow vacuum) and saw the water was very dirty. I watched the crews cleaning and there was no way they could tell the sofas and rug were clean well during service. I was not very happy that they didn't do a good job and were not professional.
I would give them 5 stars, however, I have been trying to get an invoice for the past 2 weeks with no luck. The "boss" said he would add that the paint overspray was not able to be removed. I need this for a suit I am filing against a contractor but Stanley Steemer is not being cooperative.
When they left, my carpets looked great. I pointed out specific stains and they were all gone. One week to the day, they all reappeared. Was it some magic trick?
Once the cleaning solution dried many of the stains we're still there... definitely will not use them again..For the price of the service with all the extras that I was told are a "must have", this cleaning job is a joke..

I was quoted a price to clean the carpet. I was called when they got to my place to say that the carpets should have additional services. I did okay this and did not ask for the new price. Based on what I saw online I thought it would be an additional $50 dollars. but it was an additional $200!!! I was shocked. It was my fault I should have asked for the new price.
