Standard Tap has great burgers – I went to Standard Tap recently mostly to try a burger since I heard a lot of good things about it. They have a great beer selection. but it's premium prices also. like 5.50-6 bucks a pint. anyway, burgers are awesome. and fries also. I could eat their burgers 7 times a week. one complaint. it was about 90 degrees outside on a summer day and there was no AC inside so it felt like 110. so they may want to upgrade their AC system
always great.... – I have been to the Standard for Sunday brunch and on week nights for cocktails and a bite to eat. I am never disappointed.... Always great food, good service, great beers, and a fab bloody mary! Always my #1 pick in No.Lib.....
You either get it, or you don't. – OK... not the most polished decor... but who carres? A friend introduced me to the Tap a few years back. We had brunch, and I ordered one of the simplest items you can get: biscuits and gravy. Well, I gotta tell you, I've been hooked ever since! good bar food – this is one of my favorite bars in philly. beer on draft is great and the food is even better. the pulled pork sandwich is absolutely delicious.
great food, exceptional beer – This is a beer drinker's restaurant. There are no reservations, when someone gets up you have to get to the table. You start off on the busy nights just waiting for a table to open up next to you, drinking beer from their wide selection. It is definitely a great place to drink and eat, especially on weeknights because you can definitely get a table.
More than just bar food – I have been there for brunch as well as dinner and both experiences were pleasant and delightful. The wait staff were extremely curteous and helpful. Menu offers a variety of stables as well as intriguing mixes. For dinner, their Duck Salad is to die for! The duck was not gamey at all and really tender and tasty. Can't see what all the fuss is about. The name really sums it all up....standard!
