Unexpectedly amazing food here! Went for drinks but after a few I had the munchies, decided to order and entree and was nothing short of amazed. Check it out!
The reason I like this place IS because it is not in your face. You are with your friends in a nice place and that is perfect.
Yum! I know this place has a great beer selection but the food is AMAZING as well. This is definitely the place for the perfect dinner/drinks combo and if you can eat outside upstairs it will be that much better. Check it out!
Still don't understand WHY people keep going back! – Been here a few times with friends and WE had a great time ! Not because of the place or the food but because of the friends. The lightning is so poor that I am afraid to eat because I can't see it. The Wait staff is rude and have little or no knowledge of the food on the menu. Great gastropub – We've been going to the Standard Tap for years and we love it. There is always a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, and drinks available, so everyone (with different tastes/diets) is satisfied. Food is among the best bar food anywhere.
So, why is it anyone still goes to this place? – OK. Maybe back when N Libs had limited options, this may have been the place to go. BUT, as a resident of N Libs, I know this currently is the farthest from the truth. WOW. Could service be any worse? I couldn't imagine so. The indifference of the staff is mind-boggling. BEST GASTRO-PUB!!!!!!!!! – Love it, love it, love it, we've eaten all around, from the US cities to European destinations and the food here is excellent, great beer selection, love the outdoor deck in the summer, and in the winter you'll find us warming up to the fireplace upstairs! Its the best!

Nothing exceptional here! – I was on a burger hunt and read some of the reviews ??? I was disappointment in the food, but that was overshadowed by the poor service delivered by a condescending and clearly distracted staff member. Thankfully the kitchen delivered the food without the help of our waitress, as this may have been the most efficient part of the experience.
