Mom went in for outpatient surgery. They botched the surgery and she died. Would not recommend this hospital.

I am not sure what is going on with the entire St Vincent system since I am not from the area. But there are well qualified people being passed over for jobs that have been opened for months. Jesus couldn't get a job here. Maybe that's a blessing.
Saint Vincent's cute little tagline "The Spirit of Caring" is an absolute joke! Today St. Vincent refused to accept my mom as a transfer from another facility even though St. Vincent is her in-network hospital. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that St. Vincent has refused my mom as a patient. In 2011, they refused her and flat out told my dad that they didn't want her and that they didn't want to deal with her. I have been trying for a week to speak to someone I call wait for a half hour and then I am disconnected, happens all the time. Their billing is awful!!!!
Very friendly, clean the nurses and doctors are nice
St Vincent hospital was a pretty nice place to be in. They have many caring staff that make your stay easier for you. They are right their when they are needed and if they needed assistance they got it almost immediately.
It's impossible to get in for an appt in a timely manner. If I am having a medical issue, why should I have to call a month in advance? I can't even get in for preventive care because their scheduling is so screwy. I just spent my entire morning trying to call different doctors to get in within a week time frame and was not able to schedule any appts. Obviously they're taking too many patients and the receptionists scheduling are rude unhelpful idiots.
