It's bad enough when a family memeber has to be care flight to a hospital out of your home town a hour away, and the stress and worrie that everything is alright. But on top of that there is no hospitality at all at St. Vincent Women's Hospital. The security guard is very rude!
My husband was admitted 9 day's ago with stage 4 cancer. The doctors have been wonderful. The nurses have been good to great. We had a few hiccups in the road, but are very great full for the care St Vincent has given him and our family.
Your medical staff borders on incompetent and your security staff is rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Your lack of compassion and ineffective medical treatment of my wife will not be forgotten nor forgiven. You cannot run a major health care facility with a policy of every person that shows up in your E.R. with severe pain is a drug addict until proven they're not. It's hard enough to deal with the stress of an ER visit, but dealing St Vincent billing dept is a whole new level of stress! You don't have properly trained help!!! Your deceptive practices have caused my family a great deal of unnecessary stress. It's not just one place in the St Vincent group, every place we've dealt with billing has been a mightmare.

My grandmother was checked in for mild dehydration. She had dementia they didn't put her in a proper bed or restrained her after my father told the nurses multiple times she kept pulling out her ivs and trying to get up. The bed she had had didn't have a proper monitor for her weight ( she was less than 90 pounds) so never alerted anyone when she would get up.
