Worst experience for my step dad and our family.. Waiting 45 mins for a nurse, after several attempts of calling.. and not given proper care while his stay after surgery. This was serious medical neglect!! /.. My mom has trouble with walking so had valet parking, by the time my mom left they were closed so she had to wait and know one seem to know anything. We returned this morning from a visit to the emergency room after losing our baby due to miscarriage. Their compassion and care was top notch. I was allowed to finish my labor on my own, made as comfortable as possible and they wanted to make sure I still had my modesty intact. I was never pressured to leave and they wanted to make sure I was comfortable going home before I was discharged. They also welcomed my family as part of their care team. I want to personally thank the staff at the continuing care hospital in St. Luke's Hospital. They went above n beyond their duties to help my grandpa be apart of my wedding, it wouldn't have been possible without their help. They even went as far as decorating his room with decorations n a grandpa of the bride sign n balloons n a corsage because he was suppose to walk me down the isle n give me away and with their help they helped make my dream come true of him giving me away. On February 9th I was bullied by Dr. Anthony Carter in the ER. He was latter disciplined but the lies he put about me in my records were not amended after I requested in writing. I am appalled by this decision not to amend my records which state that I accosted nurses, used profanity, threw medical equipment, and other lies. I have only seen stories like this on shows like 20/20, Dateline, and 60 Minutes. How can this happen here in Cedar Rapids?
