I took my 10 y/o son to the ER Thursday evening after a fall. The staff from the check in to every nurse, tech, Dr and surgeon we encountered through our 10 hour stay in the ER were wonderful! He was admitted to the 10th floor and again just absolutely outstanding staff. My only advice would be to update parents a little more often/faster.

My son was very sick when he was born (In Quincy, IL) and they had to transport him out because they were unable to care for him there. St.Louis Children's Hospital is where we chose for him to go. They were FABULOUS in the NICU. <3 He was able to come home in 11 days. =) Then when my son was three we had the onset of his epilepsy, again without a single moments hesitation we chose St.Louis Children's Hospital Pediatric Neurology Department for his care. We were in for vacation and they were ALL so wonderful from the security guard showing me where to go in the parking garage to the doctors. Love love love this place.
So helpful and accommodating when our 21 month old son suddenly (and frighteningly!) came down with pneumonia while we were on vaca. As a same sex couple (2 moms) we never felt disrespected or misunderstood at all. Everyone treated us with the utmost kindness and never questioned either of our identities or relationships with our son. Very comforting in a scary situation.
