I have been waiting in the emergency room for over 4 hours without being seen. Got here at 11:14 on a Thursday night. Just asked front desk to estimate wait time. She said we need a room and there's others waiting on rooms ahead of us. She referenced one patient that has been waiting 12 hours. I think it should be a requirement to disclose approximate wait times at ERs. If we had known when we got here that we would wait this long, we would've most certainly tried another hospital. Best hospital ever, their staff was so professional but personable, such wonderful people. Such a great feeling to feel like we were really taken care of because they cared. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely HORRIBLE. I had a c section baby followed by a hemorrhage, a massive blood transfusion, an angiogram , a hysterectomy and another blood transfusion all within 8 weeks... They had NO Idea what to do with a hemorrhage pt- let me bleed for HOURS til I begged for a DNC and waited SO long I almost bled to DEATH (blood count of NINE), nurses treated me like I didn't just have multiple surgeries, rude, forceful, I had to ASK for my pain medicine-\-\- you go have that many surgeries on the same area in 8 weeks with no med... read more
Generally we get good care from this hospital but not tonight! I can not believe the delay in the emergency room, the doctor's professionalism and follow through, the nurse and her lack of urgently pushing patient care! So today, I am very sorry to say, rates this hospital as the worst in Syracuse!
Saint Joseph's and SOS went through with a surgery on my mother in law even though Aetna sent the both letters stating that the surgery would not be covered(according to Aetna). Now Saint Joseph's is proceeding with a lawsuit against them to recover money for a surgery the doctors and the hospital should have never happened. Having your lawyer sue patients that don't have the means to pay for procedures is anything but Christian, and far from compassionate. The heart/ Cath unit is AWESOME!
Was there for surgery and from the moment I arrived everyone was great from bill in valet parking unit 1-1 Paul and Kristen great nurses. Or nurse Eric Carla in recovery. Dr Badalian what an amazing doctor. Left there without any pain mess. What a great hospital would go back.
