Shame on you St E Edgewood. I came to this hospital Wednesday July 29th at the request of my surgeon for bowel surgery. And I've had nothing but problems from your staff since then. Waking up from surgery during transport to my room I was assaulted by transport staff whom thought it was okay to put his hands on me. He waited for the nurses to walk away from me so he could assault me. This was directly after surgery. I was very heavily sedated and doped up. I wouldn’t even send my worst enemy here. The staff is unbelievably rude and unprofessional.
mother got admitted to ER. found to need emergency surgery. they would not let me see her cause visiting hours just ended. all I asked for was 5 minutes to see her. I had a negitive covid test and everything. nurses are so rude. they don't seem to care. needless to say my mother passed away and I never got to see her. so angry and upset with St Elizabeth Florence ER department. My complaint is with the ER Dept not the rest of the hospital or staff.
RecommendedThe ER staff was amazing to my family and to my mother who was in septic shock...she was actively dying and wished to be a DNR. The entire staff was honest, kind, caring, and compassionate. We decided to transfer her to Hospice. My mother passed away peacefully and with dignity on 7/20/20, at Hospice Care in Edgewood. The staff was amazing as well. I had not seen my mother so at peace and pain free for 10 years. They kept my mother comfortable, and clean, and tended to her wounds. RecommendedI think the dr is a caring person. I was checked and the dr spent time explaining the result of the heart- monitor. I was expecting a stress test because my symptoms appear when I exercise. It didn’t happen. Everyone wore a mask, which make me feel comfortable.

I went to see Dr. Mueller as a follow up visit to a hip replacement I had done in South Carolina 3 weeks ago because of a fall. His manner with me left much to be desired. Although he said SC doctor did great job, he criticized him and said"this is what you see in a community hospital". The doctor in SC called me on the phone to let me know if he was going to be late seeing me, and was extremely caring and considerate. He ironically helped me with doctor choices in KY.
