My son-in-law was brought in for unexplained seizures. Everyone from the ER to the nurses in his unit were wonderful. They explained everything to us, always offered answers to questions we had, and asked if there was anything we needed. The EEG tech explained exactly what she was going to do. I wish the hospital staff on the IL side of the river could shadow for just one day.
ER staff is overworked; they have too much to do, so they leave you hanging on for hours. They have one speed ... slow. They are very friendly, doctors are good at explaining what is going on with the patients - but 6 hours while waiting for a doctor, or results, or to get a room is ridiculous. This is not a one-time experience; I've had my elderly parents there about 20 times, and it's the same experience every time.
Mary in labor and delivery was absolutely amazing The staff was friendly and vary comforting.
Above and beyond the BEST care I could ever imagine in Labor and Delivery! Nurses are fabulous!!!!! I adored them! Lactation consultants are amazing too---Made the whole experience perfect and they continue to provide support, and answers to questions we have. Love St Joe's L&D!
The ER was fine on Feb 23, 2017. I was told I needed an MRI on my left knee. I have scheduled it twice. Neither time were they able to find me in their system. I would like to know where the disconnect is.
I have always liked St Joseph. Even though the shot and medicine they prescribed hasn't helped everyone there was very nice. My BP was high due to pain but they immediately took me in the back instead of sitting out front. I remember 11 years ago my husband was in there with a severe head injury from a fall and the nurses and doctors were THE BEST! The ER was the greatest.
