The S.S. Badger is the largest car ferry to ever sail Lake Michigan and has provided a safe, fun, and reliable shortcut across the inland sea for more than fifty years. The ferry takes passengers, autos, RVs, tour buses, motorcycles, bicycles, and commercial trucks across Lake Michigan between Ludington, Michigan and Manitowoc, Wisconsin from mid-May through mid-October.

I view it as a "link" in a great weekend vacation that begins with the Wisconsin State Fair followed by the SS Badger experience next day then next day part Silver Lake and other part Saugatuck followed on Sunday to Blueberry Fest South Haven Michigan kissing a beautiful Sunset and a convertible ride back into Chicago Sunday Night with that marvelous Skyline. Each day begins and ends with appreciation and ends with its anticipation of yet more to come. Book in advance.

i went last yr for the 1st time for my big 30 n i loved it taking the kids this yr :) so excited for them to have the experience
My husband and I have enjoyed taking the S.S. Badger. Sure beats the traffic, scenery of Lake Michigan, enjoying the meals, entertainment, hospitality and friendly staff! This is definitely a must as a way to travel from Michigan into Wisconsin or vice versa. Highly recommend.
Great way to cross Lake Michigan, avoid Chicago tolls and relax.
