Amazing trip on an historic boat/ship. Touches of history throughout including furniture from the SS City of Midland. Friendly employees and plenty to do while aboard including museum, movies, bar, bingo and game room. Or just walk the decks and take in the atmosphere which makes you imagine what things must have been like in 1952. In addition booking the trip went smoothly and there was no wait for my car to unload when we arrived in Manitowoc. Some may complain about the four hours. I never noticed that, and actually wish ... read more

As a "nubie" to the USS Badger scene, I thought the whole affair was a riot! Loved every minute on board! Breakfast was good, coffee wonderful and you can't beat the scenery for a morning appetite. Expected to pay exactly what I thought for a cruise all-you-can-eat buffet. Lunch was pleasant as well. Super clean ship and well staffed with a very courteous and helpful crew. Lots to do. Game and computer room, movie theater, a reading lounge and awesome gift shop...yeah, I bought my share. Plus two different lounging areas wit... read more

Taking the ferry on my trips from Minnesota to Michigan doesn't really save me any money or time versus driving around through either Chicago or the UP but it does allow me to arrive less stressed and more rested, ready to do what i go there for AND the day crossings are kind of fun with their Cruise Director leading games, etc. There are also, movies (often new on DVD), a little museum, several broadcast televisions for news/sport hounds and Wi-Fi for workaholics. It's nice to be able to walk around, visit with folks, etc. ... read more

We love going across on the badger. I like that the toddler room has a wall for the children to color on, as our son is 2 years old, and he loved going on the "big boat" as he calls it. We will definitely sail again sometime soon.
