It was a maze to get from the valet to the ballroom; Had to walk through other parties utilizing the outdoors space, with very limited signage ("cross two bridges"). The valet informed me that there was only valet parking available, when there was perfectly good free self-parking on the other side of the building (learned this later; not that I mind valet, just don't like being lied to). Schöner Pool, sehr gute und große Zimmer. Sehr empfehlenswert!
Have enjoyed a few good boxing matches in the facility, but this last time was very unpleasant. Paid a bit more to sit ringside and nearly froze to death. Anybody sitting with within fives rows of the ring felt very cold air blowing on them the entire evening, nonstop. Made several request of hotels staff to no avail. I've been in the air conditioning trade for over 40 years and never to put up that kind of control before. Going to bring my tools and take matters into my own hands next time or ask for a refund
I really miss the old hotel, classic Hollywood feel. Now it just looks like a cookie cutter Kimpton style hotel.
The staff was great and the hotel looks great but the paint on the shower walls is coming off. The music from the bar was a few feet away and we heard the music loud. The bathroom has a calcium build up on the facet. Took pics as well.
