One of a few remaining gems of the golden age of Hollywood
A white washed nightmare. All the charm and character of the place is gone. Used to be a great place for the bands traveling thru or playing in the LA area. Now, not so much.
Nice room, beautiful grounds, great area. Breakfast was good in the cofee shop.- was only in town overnight, wish I could stay longer
Grounds are nice. Rooms ok. No fridge. There's a party goings-on downstairs. Music very loud. I came here to sleep how am I suppose to do that with all the loud music and yelling going on! A/c very loud in room. I don't we'll come back again.
We live nearby, so frequently walk around their grounds. It has really nice landscaping, but other areas could use updating. The banquet rooms come to mind. We stayed over one night several years ago when our a.c quit during a heat wave. The rooms were clean and decent, if not that luxurious or exciting. The a.c worked, so we were happy. The lobby has been redone and is very pleasant, but wish Patio Cafe had longer hours, like through dinner. Not in love with River Rock. Maybe add some more vegan options.
This hotel was awful. Yes the rooms were updated but everything else is old and rundown. The hallways are painted avocado green from the 70s with green shag carpet that was prob from the same era. The walls were incredibly thin and we could hear everything in the hallway including the maids vacuuming very early in the morning. The beds were nicely made with nice linens but the mattresses were old, lumpy, and uncomfortable. The staff was rarely seen and were not very helpful or friendly when approached.
