On October 4, 2019 I had placed an order for a Thule Cargo Box that I saw online. As a week went by and the status of my order was still pending shipment, I decided to email customer service and inquire about the status of my order. Tried ordering a firearm online just for the processing to be messed up and for them to charge my card without the order being placed. They said it may take about 5 business days just for the return. I wanted to order through them because I believed they were a reliable website and since their brand is relatively large. Disappointed to say the least, would highly recommend doing your business elsewhere.
I have been going to the Sportsman's Warehouse in Thornton, CO for 15 years as an alternative to Cabelas. My main issues have been with the customer service desk at the store and on-line ordering. Twice my on line order has been messed up. The last incident was an order of ammo and a pair of sandles that I placed on July 3rd. Within a week the ammo came so I went to the store and picked it up, however they had no record of my sandles even being ordered!! I placed an order online asking it to be shipped. It took 10 weeks to get a refund when they screwed up the order, told me I had to pick it up from a store 3 states away. No response from them to emails and phone calls. Terrible customer service.
I used to be a long time customer but now I will never shop here again. If I could give a negative star I would. Horrible customer service lack of knowledge on the firearms I was looking to purchase. And then proceeded to racial profile me when purchasing a firearm because of who I had with me and how I looked. Even tho I am a CCW holder. They kept copies of my identification and told me I probably wouldn't be able to purchase anything from any of their stores.
I have been a loyal customer of Sportsman's for years, I spend $25K - $30K a year with them. One of the things that drew me to the company was the fact that they have a "Loyalty Program". I liked the fact that with each item I bought I was saving money on a future purchase. However, I recently saw a firearm that I wanted to purchase and I decided to use the points that I have accrued since they expire, and I didn't want to lose any "free money".
