Quite a disappointment. Stayed here for the weekend as an early birthday getaway. We were misled about what our room included. There is a charge for EVERYTHING. $30/day parking, $15 per chair if you want to use the beach. Each chair set has an umberella and I'm not joking when I say that if you want the umberella up it's an extra $20. You aren't allowed your own beverages, the pool and hot tub are dirty, and the staff genuinely does not care about your grievances. Good location, great service and very friendly staff, pool area is very nice, but the rooms are not family friendly, no drawers not enough counter space, the beach area could be cleaner. We had a great time though!! �

All in all the hotel is nice and clean but the service leaves a lot to be desired for the price tag. Additionally, we now have to dispute over $200 in drinks that were charged to our room when we paid cash or card for everything, half of which occurred before we even checked in.
We just come back from our 10 year anniversary and I have to say it was a big mistake to stay In this resort. We've stayed here many times before and never like this time. From the moment we pulled up to valet no one came to greet us or even help unload our luggage, with two toddlers onboard. We placed our own luggage on a cart & pulled the cart towards the entrance ourselves. Waited in line to check in approximately 20 minutes. Stayed at the Diplomat for 5 days over Easter Weekend 2017. Travelling with a toddler (14 months) and my husband. Overall service was good, staff were friendly, as expected, restaurants were on the expensive side. Upon arrival, there was no one available to help with our bags and stroller- which as fellow mommies know is very difficult when travelling with a young child. Best hotel I have ever stayed at staff is awesome!!! My flight was delayed so I didn't get there until 4 in the morning the staff did everything they could to make sure my room was secure, very pleasant when I arrived!!!! Hotel is very clean housekeeping is amazing, unfortunately I'm staying here during reconstruction so I can't enjoy my balcony!!!!
