We had a wonderful time at the Diplomat. Everyone was professional and helpful from the minute we arrived and check in with Phylicia to the moment we left. Breakfast at the Point Royal was amazing!
We were part of a 250-person group staying onsite last week. Excellent all around! The renovations are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, quiet and the views, if you have an ocean-view room, are spectacular. The 3 restaurants onsite are top-notch. I ate twice at Monkitail (robotayaki is out of sight), once each at Point Royal and Diplomat Prime. All excellent. I hope our group will return in a couple of years!
Great experience so far...checked in 2 nights ago for a family vacation. Arrived late and the check in service was amazing. My husband wanted to upgrade us to a suite and the receptionist did everything possible to make that happen (100$ Extra a night ). The suite is huge, ocean view and beautiful! Would be a lot better if we could access the balcony. The beach has very comfortable chairs and they are free with your resort fee. The pool also has a lot of chairs and is very warm. We checked in and our room was ready. We paid for ocean view room and was disappointed when we arrived at our room to find a street view. We called the front desk and was told we could change our room the following day. We went to front desk and was told there would need to be an additional fee as they did not have the room we paid for available or we could go to 4th floor but there would not be much of a view or we could just stay where we were. I'll have to say we had an amazing experience danny was our server and he was just so attentive not only that but when we went across the bridge they had 2 other restaurants and the hospitality was amazing Damion at Portico Beer Garden and Chris and Alex over at Bristol Burger ! I never had such a great experience in miami , I worked in the hospitality business and these guys rock!

The resort was nice. Most of our stay and our room was nice, but the main pool areas were an issue. The pool area had trash and debris everywhere. There was several college age pods of people but the clean up crew left a lot to be desired. Even the next morning when we got to the pool around 7:45 with our toddlers there were cans, cups and cigarettes everywhere. Not what I expected for the price point. This is the second time we have stayed here... unfortunately. Because we were part of a group reservation they wanted to charge and nickel and dime us for everything. I ordered a package from amazon and they charged me to have it delivered there. Then they charge to use the lounge chairs on the beach. The room stays hot. The manager was rude when I told them I was unhappy with the charges. She said, why do you think we shouldn't charge? Seriously?
