They must have read my review (see below). This morning, I get a rude call saying "Pick up your computer". When I tried to ask whether it had been repaired, the guy hung up on me. When I called back, he repeated "You need to pick it up!". So I did, and the handover was silent. I called speedy tech today looking for a new DC-in board for an 8 yr old powerbook--they're right up the street and I thought it would be nice and convenient to support a local business. They told me they couldn't sell me the part, but would install it for $200 parts & labor. Knowing the part costs $30 and the labor should take no more than 20 min, I suggested to him that $200 was too much and he suggested I go elswhere. My laptop Hard Drive failed and these clowns replaced the drive and put in a new Operating System. I needed my computer on a certain day for a weekend shoot, and they promised me I would have it. Everything went very smooth. I would recommend this shop to my friends and family. Tech Jon is very honest and professional. I wish they had a location closer to me in Santa Monica but it was worth the trip. I hate dealing with best buy and Geek Sqaud. Grrrrrr

Too bad negative stars aren't available. These clowns, jokers and thieves, abetted and encouraged by their boss, a Mr. Sean Sahimi, actually stole my IBM T40 and then denied it! I brought my 4 year old laptop (yes, I am the original owner) to them on 9-25-07 when it wouldn't boot. They spent 24 hours diagnosing it and told me I had a memory problem.
