Do not follow Google maps! Completely wrong. Also English heritage site is misleading - no signage in village. The foot path is opposite the village carpark ( it is where the brewery is). On the right is the sawmill on the left is a little gate which is easily missed even when looking for a footpath. The footpath is not maintained, overgrown with stinging nettles and brambles. It's a couple minutes walk to the clearing. Which is actually the golf course and to the right a singular dilapidated wall with no signage.
Follow the English Heritage instructions from the carpark near the D Day Memorial hall. There is very little left, literally a wall. Underwhelming if you've just come from nearby Netley Abbey
A small amount of ruins and interesting history. Definitely worth a look and the Priory trail is a beautiful walk round the lake amd golf course. Would recommend visiting the tearoom in the village for a well earned cuppa after!
