Thursday 15th May I had lower abdominal pain. I called 111 about 3pm. Dr Campbell called me back and asked me to attend surgery about 4pm. She examined me and sent me to St. Richards with a referral letter. I was given a CT scan, admitted to a ward, then in theatre 10am Friday 16th, having appendix removed. All was extremely well managed and efficient, no dramas. I have nothing but praise for all the health care professionals I encountered, and in my experience, the NHS is definitely not broken.

Fabulous surgery! Efficient and kind receptionists and doctors who really listen. We're new patients, having lived abroad and having heard all the stories about the NHS we were really concerned but everything has been fine. The technology has moved on a lot in 11 years too. All in all a wonderful experience. Thank you to all the staff at Southbourne Surgery.
