My husband and I stopped in this weekend during our visit to Massanutten and we are so glad we stumbled across this little gem! The food was so delicious, my mouth is watering while typing this! � We both got the pulled pork sandwich (amazing!) the Mac n queso (amazing!) and I got the red slaw while he got the baked beans (more amazing!) we enjoyed every last bite! Loved how the baked beans weren’t the traditional style I’m usually not a fan but tried my husbands and I really liked them too! Can’t wait to come back!

Do not be fooled by the strip center location and the no-frills interior, this is legit bbq. We were hesitant when we walked in -- crockpots, warming trays, metal folding chairs -- but gave it a shot; after all, South Fork was voted top 50 in the U.S. From the first bite, it was clear why awards are posted in the windows and trophies on the counter. It's going to be REALLY hard to beat this BBQ. Smoky, tender meats; pay by the lb get a sampler platter. Great sauce selection ranging from really hot (Austin) to mild (Kansas City). And great hospitality from the owner who also comes from NY! After a long drive, this place absolutely hits the spot. Recommended for any real BBQ lovers.
Finally! Some real good BBQ in Harrisonburg! The brisket is to die for! Don't expect that silly pulled pork on a bun with coleslaw crap they try to pass off as BBQ around here. This is the real deal!
Service and establishment were top notch. The food was good, but I had just came from Memphis, so , ....I could be a harsh critic..... Js .. .... Best bbq I've had in Virginia.
